Starz exhibition awarded Silver Distinction, Ellerslie Flower Show 2007

'The Four Elements' was the theme for the florists in the Twining Floral Art Marquee.
The staring point for Judi and Julie was the understanding that "The Four Elements are the building blocks of all that we see interacting in harmony together". Succulents and flax were used for the air, water and earth; Strelitzia and kiwifruit vine was used to represent fire.

Starz Floral Stylists’ exhibition at the 2006 ‘The Year of the Veteran’ Ellerslie International Flower Show creates a peaceful space where visitors can pause and reflect.

First-time exhibitors at the Ellerslie International Flower Show, North Shore-based Starz Floral Stylists joins other professional floral artists and floral art clubs and societies in the Twinings Floral Art Marquee.

Owner Judi Ball-Guymer, a florist with more than 30 years’ experience, opened Starz Floral Stylists about five years ago, and her business today offers beautifully styled fresh flowers for delivery throughout New Zealand.

“It’s very exciting for us to be part of the Ellerslie International Flower Show - especially in this, the Year of the Veteran,” says Judi.

Judi’s late father fought with the New Zealand Navy in World War II, and she is pleased to be able to honour the memory of men and women who served their country during wartime.

“I hope our exhibition will be a place where visitors can find peace and reflect on the contribution of those people who fought for and served their country.”
